Sunday, January 6: Charleston to Jacksonville

Okay, readers hum along...
Oh crappy day
Oh crappy day
Oh when we drive
South on ninety-five
Through rain and rain
Then again through rain
Still oh a crappy day.

The good things for today: the levelers retracted; the slideouts slid in; no accidents; no unseen events! While traveling south through Georgia we did have a black SUV pass us as if we were parked in the middle lane, THEN just ahead a trooper pulled out into the traffic and we are like "ruh-roh, he's gonna get a ticket!" And then we watched from our perch and watched and waited as the SUV ducked to the outside lane, the trooper stayed with traffic and then we saw the blue lights trigger. To our surprise the trooper had pulled over another vehicle! The SUV got a Mulligan today! Now that guy has to be humming "Oh Happy Day"!!!

We got on the road about eleven this morning and after a brief lunch stop at the Georgia State Line rest stop we arrived at Pecan Park RV Resort just off I-95 south at exit 366 about 3 o'clock. We set up again in the pouring down rain, with no problems. Seems to be a popular stop for campers, offering flat, paved pull-thru sites, full hook-up, cable and free wi-fi. There is a 100+ flea market next door that looks to have lots and lots of shopping! Whooo-hoo!
